Disclaimer: LightningWizard cannot guarantee 100% timeliness of fresh maps, nor the reliability of the plotted parameters and consistent layout of the maps.
GFS and HiRLAM maps can be out of phase because GFS is updated earlier and HiRLAM map calculations take much more time.
Remember that models try to reproduce reality. Use at your own responsibility, and verify by use of other models and observations.

The production of these maps is possible thanks to the free public data policy of the United States of America and the reliable service of
the National Centers for Environmental Prediction and National Weather Service. LightningWizard is delighted that the Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET) in Spain, as the first in Europe,
now provides raw model data (and more) free of charge to the public.
Further thanks: to Pieter Groenemeijer for his automation and interpolation routines, and Felix Welzenbach for his translation of the guide.
This service runs on the server of the European Storm Forecast Experiment.
Please, do not load these maps directly into your website. It can cause requests for 675 files and up to 75 Megabytes for each visit. Be nice, or be blocked.
