Photographs of Clouds and Optical Phenomena

In this section you will find my shots of more "ordinary" (but not necessarily dull!) weather, such as different types of clouds, sunsets, fog, and optical phenomena in the atmosphere. As no category system is perfect, you might also find "calm weather" funnel clouds and even a waterspout placed in this category instead of the Thunderstorms category where stormchasing photos, sometimes with tornadoes, are located. This is because the usual funnel/waterspout day is more like a showery day, with lots of smaller showers instead of a warm & moist big thunderstorm day where lightning and wild skies are the main treat.
The same overlap can occur with my Seasons and Various categories, because nature and landscape shots usually have a sky in them as well. To be sure you don't miss a nice cloud shot just look in those sections too!
